ABOUT FERMATA

The all-in-one studio management platform for music teachers

Fermata is the all-in-one studio management platform built for independent music teachers and small-to-mid-sized teaching studios. It brings scheduling, billing, parent communication, student progress tracking, and financial reporting together in one calm, focused workspace, so teachers can spend less time on admin and more time teaching.

Fermata is designed for private music instructors across every instrument — piano, guitar, violin, voice, drums, and more — as well as multi-teacher studios that need shared scheduling and billing. Whether you teach thirty students from a home studio or run a team of teachers across several locations, Fermata scales from a single educator up to a full studio, with per-teacher rosters and a shared billing dashboard.

The platform covers the full day-to-day of running a studio: a calendar with one-off and recurring lessons and automatic conflict detection, a no-login parent portal for schedules and invoices, automated makeup credits with a 60-day expiry, AI-drafted progress notes, invoicing with online payments via Stripe, and a finances workspace for income, expenses, and mileage with tax-ready reporting.

Fermata is built by a small team obsessed with the craft of music education and the tools that support it. We believe teachers deserve software that feels as considered as the lessons they give — calm, reliable, and quietly powerful — so we design every feature around the real rhythm of a teaching week.

FOUNDER, FERMATA

Why not build a revolutionary new way for music teachers to run their studios? The future is not just here — it's rocketing forward, and it's making the whole music education community take a look at how to take advantage of it today. That's why I built Fermata: to give every independent teacher and studio the tools to move with that future instead of chasing it.
